Crisis Cover Chief Executive Officer Carole Tokody is one of the top 29 outstanding female talents recognised in Insurance Business’ annual listing.

The 2020 listing acknowledges Carole as an industry expert in her field and a leading digital marketing innovator in the global travel insurance and assistance industries.

In 2019, Carole was part of an agile and accomplished team of senior executives who founded Crisis Cover, paving the way for improved and digitally-enabled safety, security and protection services for international travellers.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, Carole is focused on how she leads Crisis Cover through challenging global times.

“As a female business owner, I am always seeking out opportunities to improve our services and nurture our partnerships,” she said.

“It is also particularly important during this time to challenge conventional thinking. Crisis Cover evolved because we dared to question the status quo and to move outside the system to bring innovation to life.

“I always encourage my teams to explore alternative solutions, and I always support their creative recommendations where I can see the business case stacks up.

“You need a diversity of talent in the travel insurance industry to drive innovation and technical capability, as well as to drive positive change in traditional leadership structures.

“I recognise and applaud all of the women in the insurance industry that work hard every day to create meaningful products and services that meet the needs of real customers.”
